Meet the Team

  • Veterinarian & Co-Founder

Dr. Hailey DeVries Mourer is an equine veterinarian who grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago where she spent much of her time competing in three-day eventing. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Illinois, then attended Iowa State University where she received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. Dr. Hailey then completed an equine surgery and medicine internship at Conley & Koontz Equine Clinic in Columbia City, IN. She practiced at the same clinic for several years as an ambulatory practitioner, as well as assistant surgeon for complex surgical cases. Before starting her own business, she spent numerous years as an associate at Homestead Veterinary Hospital in Villa Ridge, MO, where she practiced high quality sports medicine and lameness work. While she enjoys all aspects of equine medicine, she has special interests in sports medicine and lameness, surgery, reproduction, and wound healing. In her spare time, Dr. Hailey continues to compete in three-day events and lives with her husband, Chris, and their son, Cayden, on a small hobby farm with horses, cows, dogs, chickens, and pigs.

  • Co-Founder & Practice Manager

Chris Mourer is one of the co-founders of MFF Equine Veterinary Services and the practice manager. He grew up in Bismarck, Illinois, and attended Parkland College where he earned his Associates Degree in Science. His hobbies include spending time with family, team roping, attending horse shows, and raising livestock.

Chris says “Illinois has always been home to Dr. Hailey and I, and we knew there is a need for high level equine care in the Midwest. We are here to provide that service.”
